What Can Hal do?
Hali Smith is my government name, but my friends all know me as Hal. I’m a service journalism reporter at the Idaho Statesman, based in Boise. My beat covers a drastically broad range of topics that constantly scratch my never ending desire to learn. It wasn’t much of a surprise when my Clifton Strengths assessment named “learner” as my number one.
I am a strong community builder and love to show people that humanity exists just behind the screens we stare at all day.
I aspire to team up with creative minds where my work ethic and experience can produce material that is accessible, expressive and ethical.
